Ora et Labora(Latin: Pray and Work)
Mission Statement:The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) exists to prevent cruelty, alleviate pain, fear and suffering in animals, and to promote a society based on humane principles.Goal:The PAWS fulfills its mission by working to provide leadership in humane education, public awareness, legislation, shelter support, charitable veterinary services, animal re-homing, counseling, investigation and legal support.
A House Bill is now at the Congress filed by Congresswoman Bernadette Herrera-Dy of the Bagong Henerasyon Party List to amend the Animal Welfare Act (or Republic Act 8485), which seeks to put longer prison terms and higher fines/penalties for those who have committed acts of cruelty to animals.
SIGN THE PETITION HERE.
Please email your Congressmen now to support HOUSE BILL 5849.
Please request Senator Pangilinan to file and sponsor the amendment of The Animal Welfare Act (AWA) in the Senate.
Too many animals have already suffered, and criminals are becoming bolder. The amendment of the AWA must be a priority Bill for lawmakers.

THE USE OF THE PAWS LOGO
While we appreciate financial assistance freely donated to help with our work, we are very deliberate and discriminating when it comes to events we participate in or associate with. We do not take free use of our name and logo lightly. We would just like to make it clear that no person or group may use the PAWS's logo or associate PAWS with events, or use PAWS's name in marketing materials, or announce that PAWS is a beneficiary of event process unless and until PAWS has agreed to any or all thereof.
For groups that would like PAWS to be part of their event (as beneficiary, to participate, etc), please send an email with your event proposal (name of event, nature of event, other important details) to
philpaws@yahoo.com. Before posting/promoting said event with PAWS' name and logo, please wait for approval from PAWS.
Thank you.
